Our work is to establish and conserve permanent native woodland in Ireland, encouraging land regeneration and biodiversity. What inspired you to work with Hometree?
When we launched The Nature of Things in late 2018, we wanted to rapidly connect with organisations that are protecting and promoting biodiversity. We feel that although the discussions and policies around climate change are important, Biodiversity is a more actionable, urgent, visible and impactful way of protecting our environment. Rewilding, Protecting forests, savannahs, plains, coastal regions or oceans, from small to very large ecosystems, is what we are passionate about.
We have been supporting Rewilding Europe for a few years and were looking for an Irish based organisation as well and Hometree was a great fit for us.
