With a current annual operation of €1,000,000, we are on a strategic path to grow to a €multi-million entity by 2030. Our mission is deeply rooted in environmental conservation and sustainable practices, aiming to create a lasting positive impact.
We are looking for a new board member with finance expertise. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced finance professional to join our Board of Directors. This individual will play a pivotal role in guiding Hometree's financial strategy and growth, helping us achieve our ambitious targets. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of financial expertise, particularly in scaling organizations, and a passion for environmental sustainability.
Type: Part-Time, Volunteer
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic financial oversight and guidance to ensure Hometree's financial health and growth.
Assist in developing and monitoring key financial strategies that align with our 2030 vision.
Offer insights and advice on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Help identify potential risks and opportunities in our financial strategy.
Contribute to the overall strategic direction and governance of Hometree.
Actively participate in three board meetings a year, one AGM, and four sub-committee meetings on finance in Board meetings and relevant committee meetings.
Support the expansion of Hometree’s network, funding sources, and audience reach.
Candidate Profile
Relevant Experience:
Proven experience in financial management and strategy, particularly in scaling organizations to multi-million euro operations.
Experience in environmental, non-profit, or related sectors is advantageous.
Relevant Qualifications:
A degree in finance, business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
Professional finance qualifications (e.g.,FCA CFA, CPA) are desirable.
Board Experience:
Previous experience on a board, especially in a similar sector, is highly valued.
You have demonstrated the ability to work effectively in a governance role.
Alignment with Hometree:
A strong personal commitment to environmental sustainability and Hometree’s mission.
Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the environmental sector.
Personal Goals:
A clear vision of what you aim to achieve and contribute to the Hometree Board.
